Hi, My name is MaKenna Whitten and I am 20 years old. I was born in Victoria and have grown up in Sooke with my parents and younger sister.
I love the outdoors and living in Sooke gave me the opportunity to be immersed in nature. I love hikes and walks especially with my two best friends, my dogs Cosmo and Kola. My other interests include soccer and softball which I played my whole life.
I discovered my passion for working with kids when I decided to take on coaching a tee ball team at the last minute in 2023. Volunteering as a coach made me realize that teaching was the career for me and after that I could not see myself pursuing anything else.
